Fairy-tale castle and
the Crown Princess
On a headland at the far end of Kålland’s island stands Läckö Castle, a magnificent structure dating from the Baroque period of the 1600s, with roots in the Middle Ages. Today, Läckö Castle is a popular place for outings and a living centre for music, theatre, art, architecture and gastronomy.
A model of the Naturum Vänerskärgården – Victoriahuset visitors’ centre was unveiled by H.R.H. Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel in October 2010.
Naturum Vänerskärgården – Victoriahuset will house exhibitions, restaurant and conference facilities.The facility will be completed in summer 2012.
